A New grant scheme for the exchange of Central Heating boilers began on 13th Oct.
The
scheme known as “ Plan Renove Caldera” provides grants of between 400€
and 500€ to those living within the Valencian Community keen to exchange
their existing gas and oil boilers for more efficient condensing
models. It has proved so popular that already, a little more than one
month after the start, 250.000€ of the 900.000€ capital has been
allocated to those residing in the area.
A Condensing boiler can
considerably reduce both fuel consumption and emissions. A government
study estimates that during a year the savings for a 100m2 property
located in the area running on Propane gas would be approx 22% which in
monetary terms would amount to a saving of up to 200€. The bigger the
property the greater the savings and with Natural gas savings are
estimated to be even greater. Not only that, CO2 emmissions reduce by up
to 940KgCo2/ year.
To qualify for the grant you must reside
within the Valencian community. You will need a copy of your NIE
certificate or Certificate of Residencia and also copy of a your
passport. Only installers affiliated with the scheme can offer the
grants which are deducted from the invoice at point of sale. The
installer then claims back the grant directly.
Only one boiler
grant is allowed per person and is available subject to the installer
removing your old boiler for correct disposal. Registered installers are
