Plans agreed to Renovate Arenal Beach in Javea On the 3rd of November, the Arenal Beach Business Association held a general meeting on the plans for renovation of Arenal Beach that was attended by several council members, including mayor Chulvi Jose. The plans, which should be finished before the 2012 summer season starts, entail resurfacing of the Paseo de Arenal and changing of the lighting and railings. These improvements will go hand in hand with the improvement of the beach's services, demanded by the Business Association. These will include more roundabouts against traffic congestion, but financial help of landowners is needed for one of these as well. Also, the police squad will be strengthened during summer and measures will be taken to prevent flooding in Calle Nice. It will also be made possible for residents to do some of their paperwork involving registration at the tourist office, in stead of the City Council.
