Cantal Roig is a compact sandy beach situated between Calpe’s fishing port and the Baños de la Reina area, close to the Peñón de Ifach.
At approximately 200 metres long, it is considerably smaller than Arenal-Bol and La Fossa. Its sheltered position and generally calm water make it particularly popular with families and visitors staying near the port.
The fishing boats, harbour and Peñón create a distinctive setting that feels different from Calpe’s longer urban beaches. Restaurants around the port are also within easy walking distance.

Cantal Roig has a seasonal lifeguard, first-aid and rescue service. Exact operating dates and hours can change between bathing seasons.

Calpe Town Council currently lists Cantal Roig as a Blue Flag beach.
The Blue Flag is an international environmental and quality award operated by the Foundation for Environmental Education. It assesses matters including water quality, environmental management, safety and services.
Cantal Roig is not Calpe’s designated dog beach. Dogs should not be taken onto the sand unless current municipal signs and rules expressly permit them.
