Fiestas in Javea: Mig Any Moros y Cristianos - Half-Year Celebrations (February 2027)

7:30 pm – Gathering of the Filaes (Moors & Christians groups) at Arcada Pio X.

8:00 pm – Opening parade of the Moorish and Christian sides.

Following the parade:

• Proclamation of the Moorish Standard Bearer and Christian Standard Bearer.
• Presentation of the 2026 Festival Captaincy at the festival marquee on Avinguda Lepanto.
• Communal dinner for the Filaes.

Around 11:00 pm – The festival marquee opens to the public, with a DJ and reasonably priced bar service until 1:00 am.

Saturday 7th February

9:30 am – Gathering of the Filaes at the festival marquee.

10:00 am – Traditional breakfast for the Filaes, accompanied by a charanga (brass band).

12:30 pm – Parade of the Moorish and Christian groups through the streets of Duanes.

3:00 pm – Communal lunch for the Filaes at the festival marquee.

5:30 pm – Public afternoon celebration with DJs Raül Albi, Alex Torres, and Sergio Pérez at the festival marquee, continuing until 1:30 am.

A reasonably priced bar will be available throughout the event.

About the Event

The Mig Any ("Mid-Year") celebration marks the halfway point to Xàbia's annual Moors & Christians Festival. It brings together the participating Filaes and the wider community for parades, music, traditional ceremonies, food, and entertainment, building excitement ahead of the main festival later in the year.
