9th October 2026
Across the region, the day celebrates Valencian history, culture and identity with official ceremonies, community events and family gatherings. While much of Javea enjoys a relaxed public holiday atmosphere, the town's official commemorations take place in the historic old town.
Celebrations take place across the Valencian Community, with Javea's official ceremony held at the Ajuntament de Xàbia (Javea Town Hall) in the heart of the Old Town.
Many local bars and restaurants remain open throughout the day, creating a lively atmosphere despite many shops and businesses being closed.
The Fiesta includes the annual Vila de Xàbia community awards at the Ayuntamiento de Xàbia.
Although quieter than many of Javea's famous fiestas, the Day of the Valencian Community is an important civic celebration.
