"Mig Any Fester" Javea 2025

Any occasion is a good occasion for a fiesta on the Costa Blanca, and in Javea the Mig Any (or 'Half Year') Fiesta includes the organisation of sports competitions, "les filaes" Moors & Christians, and the Presentation of the Charges.

The Mig Any (Half Year) represents six months since the last fiesta and there are six months left until the next festival. The Mig Any party is now a large celebration, with the filaes meeting on Avenida Jaime I or Calle Triana. This is one of the events that fill the streets of Duanes de la Mar with an amazing atmosphere during the Winter months.

The Mig Any events begin on Friday evening with an informal parade "entraeta" that travels through the streets of the fishing neighbourhood of Duanes de la Mar. The parade will gather at the archway at the port, at 8.00pm before celebrating with snacks and drinks in the fishing port "Duanes de la Mar.

On Saturday the fiesta program continues an informal parade "entraeta" through the streets of the port at 12:30 to the "charanga" band sound of the Moors and Christians .  In the afternoon, everyone will enjoy a special lunch at Salones Carrasco, during which the 2024 Standard Bearers will be announced and the Filà Captain 2024 will be confirmed.
