Restaurante Vall de Cavall - "Valley of Horses" - is located away from the crowded beaches in Gata de Gorgos, where you will find verdant oasis of tranquility a 15 minute drive from Javea.

The business includes accommodation plus a livery yard, renowned for its bespoke service and quality horses.

With views toward the famous Montgo mountain, clients can enjoy a superb meal whilst the childeren have fun at the play area or in the swimming pool.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, and are available for overnight accommodation - come and wake gently to the sounds of the countryside as the sun creeps over the Montgo!

Vall de Cavall Restaurant

Vall de Cavall Restaurant offers elegant dining in beautiful rustic surroundings.

The restaurant is fully air conditioned, and has many rustic features, including open beams & chandeliers.
The ambience is elegant, with crisp white linen tablecloths and comfortable seating.


It is the ideal location for a romantic dinner for 2, or a large private party, with seating of up to 100 inside, and 60 outside.

There is a wonderful terrace for 'Al Fresco' dining, with the added benefit of a garden with swimming pool, and play area, ideal for families.


The Food

The restaurant serves freshly cooked, modern Valencian cuisine with something for everyone. The highly experienced chef has an excellent local reputation for creating good food, and the frequent menu changes allow local seasonal produce to be offered at great value.

Vall de Cavall offers friendly family run service with all year round dining. It offers real fires in the winter and a superb terrace with mountain views for alfresco dinning.

The restaurant is open during the week for lunch offering a great value three course menu del dia, with a separate menu for the evenings.
A set Sunday lunch is available - this is very popular, so advanced booking is required.

- Salmon sashimi with wakame seaweed, sesame and wasabi.
- Vall de Cavall “Coca” (Spanish pastry): cherry tomatoe, smoked sardine, avocado mayonnaise and wasabi.
- Mi-cuit with walnut streusel and fig mustard.
- Beef carpaccio with rocket, Parmesan cheese and balsamic oil.
- Browned goat cheese with beetroot, caramelized walnuts and a cranberry vinaigrette.
- Spanish hamboard “5J” / Plateau de jambon espagnol “5J” / Spanische Schinkenbrett “5J”.
- Lobster salad with green Kumato tomatoes, cockles and a passion fruit vinaigrette.
- Iberian backbone tataki with dashi marinade (Japanese broth) / marinated with dashi.

- Wild deer polenta with saffron milkcap stew (wild mushrooms) and strawberry hoisin salsa.
- Lamb shank slowly cooked vacuum-packed in his own juice.

- Black Angus tenderloin steak with truffle and sweet wine sauce and a foie gras escalope.
