Information:

ACCESS: The beach is accessible by car via the "Cabo de la Nao" coast road. It is also accessible on foot from the viewpoint "Mirador del al Cruz del Portitxol". Parking is limited to 60 spaces.

FACILITIES: There is a bar (Cala Clemence) located on the shore, as well as the famous 'Blue Door' that has been popular on social media. Furthermore, the white and blue fishermen's houses and the island of Portitxol just off the coast are charming, must-see attractions. The beach has maritime surveillance and free WC services. You can also rent umbrellas, sunbeds, canoes and kayaks.

Directions from Javea to Cala del Portixol

To reach Cala del Portixol from Jávea by car, follow these directions:

1.Starting Point: Begin in the centre of Jávea (Xàbia).

2.Head Southeast: Take the CV-736 (Carretera de Jávea a Jesús Pobre) heading southeast.

3.Turn Right onto Av. del Pla: After a short distance, turn right onto Avenida del Pla (CV-734).

4.Continue on CV-734: Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach a roundabout.

5.Roundabout: At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Carretera del Portitxol (CV-742), heading towards Cala del Portixol.

6.Follow CV-742: Continue on CV-742 for approximately 4 kilometers. You will pass through residential areas and follow signs indicating the direction to Cala del Portixol.

7.Turn Right: Look for signs for Cala del Portixol and turn right onto Carrer del Mar Blau.

8.Final Stretch: Continue straight on Carrer del Mar Blau, following the signs that lead directly to the parking area near the beach.

9.Parking: Park your car in the designated parking area. Note that parking can be limited, especially during peak times, so an early arrival is recommended.

10.Walk to the Beach: From the parking area, there is a short walk down to the beach. Follow the path and signs to reach Cala del Portixol.

•Distance: The total distance is approximately 8 kilometres, and the drive should take around 15-20 minutes.

•Road Conditions: The roads are generally well-maintained, but some parts of the route near the beach may be narrower and winding.
