Duration: 6 hours 45 minutes
Difficulty: Medium-High
Stretching from Cap Sant Antoni to the summit of Montgó, this 16km walk passes through some of the most spectacular scenery of the Valencia region. With sights like Plana de San Jeroni and Cova Tallada all en route, complete with the thrilling challenge of scaling Montgó, this trail is a must for any dedicated hiker.

The beauty of this circular route is undeniable, with panoramas of the Montgó, the valley, and Javea's bay creating an unmissable blend of mountains and sea. Highlights of the trail include the protected "Parque Forestal de Granadella" (known as the 'lungs of the Costa Blanca'), the old 18th century watchtower, and two of Javea's miradores.

Located on the southern side of Portitxol Bay and sheltered by the Prim and Negre capes, this quaint trail is a lovely way to explore the rocky cove. With sights like Creu de Portitxol, Portitxol Island, and Cala Barraca along the way, it makes for a relaxed and scenic stroll.

Complete with fantastic views of Cap de Sant Antoni and Javea's bay to the north, and Portitxol Island to the south, this shorter walk illustrates much of Javea's natural beauty. To turn the hour into a day, it's worth taking a detour down to the pretty Cala Sardinera beach and basking in the picturesque views.

Sitting atop the Tossal de Santa Llucía hill, this circular walk is the most popular hike Javea offers. On clear days, Ibiza can be spotted on the horizon to the east, along with the nearby mountain of Montgó to the north-west.

Winding from Javea Port to Els Molins up on Las Planas, this trail could also be considered an extra detour for the Javea Port to Montgó hike. The views of the Molins and Santuari Mare de Deu dels Angels are a lovely insight into Javea's culture and history well worth the short walk.

Acting as a second Javea Port to Montgó variation, the trail starts at the Dique Levante harbour wall and offers two ends - one at the pretty Cala Tangó cove, one at the famous Coves Santes caves.

The Valley of the Ancient Olive Tree Walk is a delightful trail that begins at the 14th century chapel of Popúl and passes the 900 year-old olive tree, Olivera Milenaria, planted by the Arabs who once dwelled there. The 5km walk boasts stunning views of the steep cliffs of Montgó, as well as the peaceful Spanish countryside.

Lying to the south of the beautiful Mt. Montgo, the 5km Cova Ampla walk boasts gorgeous views of pine forests and landmarks such as Calpe's Peñón de Ifach and Cabo de la Nao's lighthouse. Starting at Camp de Tiro “Les Planes” and culminating in the 'Eye of Montgo' cavern, the trail features steep and rocky paths, making it perfect for the experienced hiker.
